You want football in Orlando?

It's been a year since I last attended a live football match and it just hit me this past Saturday when I watched the World Soccer Masters match at Sun Life Stadium that I need more football in my life.

Watching it every week is great, and I'm eternally grateful to be living in this technology-driven world that makes it almost impossible for me not to watch a game I really want to see. I remember 8 years ago, I could not watch a single game for Euro 2004. Today, I can watch any game I want, even from my phone while I "work". But attending a football match is the ultimate, second only to playing the sport. Even though the game I watched was not competitive, it made me think that living in Orlando, FL is not exactly the best city for soccer fans to really have an outlet, or is it? There's probably about 5 leagues all over town happening simultaneously on any given day, not to mention the Central Florida Soccer League, the best venue to maintain the hopes and dreams of frustrated soccer carreers alive. But with this predictable Florida weather, outdoor activities are hard to carry out, which is why indoor soccer venues are bursting in almost every part of town. Yes, so many are popping out, but where? It doesn't matter where you live, it seems like you always have to go across town to find one. Where do you guys go? Where are the ones without hockey-style rinks? Where are the ones with more than 2 fields that 198 people have to share on any given day?

Yesterday I met with some people who are, I wouldn't say "authorities" but certainly, "cracks" in the world of football, and we decided to start our own indoor soccer venue. I would really like to hear what you guys would like to see this new place have that others don't. It could be anything; location, features, look and feel, etc. For the love of football, we really want, nay, deserve the best venue to paint on OUR canvas, our most precious work of art; our attempt at football elitism. Your input will be greatly appreciated, and it will make soccer in Orlando better.
