Want to work out?

I would love it if just once I would wake up with the energy to do ANYTHING. Every night I make this amazing plan in my head, "I'm getting up at this hour, drink a glass of water, run a couple of miles, do push ups, sit ups, get ready for work, hit the gym afterwards, blah blah blah". Every single night. The next day I wake up and my computer screen is glowing, calling me like the mothership. Sometimes I wake up and watch Sportscenter, until I realize that I have been watching the same highlights about 3 times. My favorite is when I pretend to wake up early to clean the house a bit. You want to know the secret to do anything that you know you should do but can't find the time to do it? You do it. Want to wake up early? Set the alarm. Want to go for a run? Do it; if you throw up, even better. Want to work out in the morning? Do it quickly.

I have found that discipline is the greatest skill we can learn, and it can only help us. It can help us in any aspect of our lives; emotionally, physically, professionally, academically. The truth is, we will never wake up and feel like doing anything, except not wake up. With effort and discipline we can certainly learn to do the things we don't feel like and with time, grow accustomed to it where it comes natural for us to follow with these productive behaviors. It's really hard to wake up and create these new behaviors, but I have found out that it can be done, with a little effort, a little discipline and a lot of will power. What behavior do you find hardest to wake up and accomplish every morning? And please, don't say hit the snooze button.
